Are you a Barossan maker or designer? Would you like to connect your business with the increasing demand for cultural tourism in our region?
Regional Development Australia Barossa, Gawler, Light & Adelaide Plains is looking for project partners for their 'Be a Designer for a Day' initiative. This initiative invites tourists to 'get a taste' of what it is like to be a working designer in our region. Projects can be unique and creative, with the only criteria being that they must fall under the 'Be a Designer for a Day' theme.
RDA will support designers in connecting with tourism opportunities, planning for events, applying for grants (if necessary) and marketing their projects.
Are you a designer in our region working from a space set up for individual or groups of visitors? Would you like to supplement your work with short workshops for tourists? Can you offer a unique and creative experience? Would you like to connect your creative practice to new and appreciative audiences?
Designers of all mediums (textiles, graphic, clothing and shoes, jewellery, game etc) are invited to register their interest and pitch their specific idea. Alternatively, social designers and innovators are also welcome to apply.
To register your interest send a 100 word pitch to firstname.lastname@example.org.
