BAROSSA & DISTRICT PIPE BAND

The Barossa & District Pipe Band commenced in February 2012. We currently have about 20 members ranging from teenagers to over 80 years of age. It is a very non-judgemental and friendly group of musicians from all walks of life. We are always happy to welcome anyone who has an interest in Scottish Pipe Band Music, whether they are experienced bagpipers or drummers, someone who would like to learn to play an instrument with us, or even people who would like to help as non-playing supporters. As a “not-for-profit” community group, sponsorship is also incredibly valuable to us. Please contact us to find out more.

Membership of the band is open to anyone of any age or background who would like to be involved in the band.

No prior musical knowledge is required to learn to play an instrument and the band will provide tuition for interested persons.

Tuition is available on Monday and Thursday night at the Nuroootpa Soldiers Memorial Hall. These meetings start at 7:00 PM. Private tuition can also be arranged if these nights are not suitable.

The band regularly plays at many varied local events throughout the year and is available for hire for large or small performances, parades, events, dinners, concerts, weddings, funerals, and many other functions. We can also arrange a solo bagpiper and or a drummer to bring a Scottish flair to your event.
