Barossa & District Pipe Band

The band is very new with recruiting having commenced in February 2012. We currently have 16 members ranging from 13 to 63 years of age. We are actively recruiting to try and build the band up to about 25 members over the next few years.

Membership of the band is open to everyone who is willing to devote the time and effort to contribute to the band.

No prior musical knowledge is required to join and the band will provide tuition for $5/lesson (to help cover hall costs) but you must be prepared to attend tuition regularly and devote time for regular practice at home.

Tuition is on Thursday night at the Tanunda RSL located in the Tanunda Show grounds. This practice runs from 7:00 PM.

Experienced members also have a practice on Mondays at the St. John’s Church Hall off of Young Street, Tanunda. Practice commences at 7:00 PM.

The Barossa & District Pipe Band is a traditional Scottish Pipe Band located in Tanunda. The purpose of the band being to participate in local community activities, parades and other events where entertainment is requested.
